Union Minister for New and Renewable Energy, RK Singh, unveiled a visionary plan that positions Odisha as a burgeoning solar power hub, marking a paradigm shift in the state’s energy trajectory.
Despite current challenges, including limited installed capacity for renewables and land scarcity for conventional projects, the Odisha government, under Chief Minister Shri Naveen Patnaik’s leadership, is embracing transformative solutions. The introduction of floating solar parks is poised to revolutionize Odisha’s energy dynamics, showcasing the state’s commitment to overcoming obstacles and driving progress.
According to the latest data, Odisha is on track to secure a spot among the top 10 states in India with the highest solar park capacities. Minister RK Singh revealed that the state’s three proposed solar parks, including two floating solar parks with a cumulative capacity of 340 MW, signify a substantial leap forward.
