The India Meteorological Department predicts that within the next 24 hours, one or two thunderstorms with lightning are very likely to occur over the districts of Malkangiri, Koraput, Nawarangpur, Rayagada, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Gajapati, Ganjam, Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Bhadrak, and Jajpur (IMD).

For these areas, the weather service has issued a yellow warning.

Similar to that, the IMD predicted that during the next 24 hours, light to moderate rain or thundershowers are very likely to occur at numerous locations over the districts of South Interior Odisha, Gajapati, and Ganjam as well as at a few locations over the remaining districts of Odisha.

Additionally, according to the IMD’s prognosis for Bhubaneswar and the surrounding area for the following 24 hours, the sky will continue to be largely cloudy with a risk of light rain. It said, “The maximum and minimum temperatures are highly likely to be in the range of 35°C and 26°C, respectively.”

The following is the IMD’s four-day weather forecast and advisory for the districts of Odisha:

Day-1 (valid from 0830 hrs IST of 29.06.2022 up to 0830 hrs IST of 30.06.2022).

Numerous locations over the districts of interior Odisha and a few locations over the other districts of Odisha are highly likely to have light to moderate rain or thunderstorms.

One or two locations in the districts of Nawarangpur, Koraput, Malkangiri, Jharsuguda, Sundargarh, Sambalpur, Deogarh, Keonjhar, and Mayurbhanj are extremely likely to see heavy rainfall. 2. Lightning and thunderstorms are extremely likely to strike one or two locations over the districts of Odisha.

Day-2 (valid from 0830 hrs IST of 30.06.2022 up to 0830 hrs IST of 01.07.2022).

In several locations over the districts of Odisha, light to moderate rain or thunderstorms are highly likely to occur.

Heavy rain is very likely to fall in one or two locations across the districts of Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Bargarh, Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Angul, Dhenkanal, Kandhamal, Boudh, and Deogarh. Yellow Warning (Be updated).

Day-3 (valid from 0830 hrs IST of 01.07.2022 up to 0830 hrs IST of 02.07.2022).

In several locations over the districts of Odisha, light to moderate rain or thunderstorms are highly likely to occur.

The districts of Cuttack, Khurda, Jagatsinghpur, Jajpur, Bhadrak, Kendrapara Dhenkanal, Balasore, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, and Angul are likely to have one or two locations of heavy rainfall.

Day-4 (valid from 0830 hrs IST of 02.07.2022 up to 0830 hrs IST of 03.07.2022).

In several locations over the districts of Odisha, light to moderate rain or thunderstorms are highly likely to occur.

The districts of Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Deogarh, Mayurbhanj, Malkangiri, Koraput, and Rayagada are likely to have heavy rainfall at one or two locations.
