Cuttack: Several organisations in Salepur area of Cuttack district today resorted to dawn-to-dusk bandh pressing construction of the Cuttack-Chandbali road.
Vehicular movement was affected while businesses and educational institutions were also hit as protesters staged pickets at several spots.
Protesters alleged that despite regular demands for widening and renovation of road from Kuanpala Bus stand to Dakapala, the administration has been ignoring their concerns.
The district administration has deployed police force to prevent any untoward incidents in view of the shutdown.
