Safe Diwali only can be called Happy Diwali. Therefore, everyone needs to be careful while bursting firecrackers during Diwali, the festival of light, colors, and happiness.
Here are some of the Do’s and Don’ts for a safe celebration of the Festival of Light:
- Buy firecrackers from licensed shops only.
- Light the firecrackers in open space.
- Don’t keep any objects which can catch fire soon.
- Keep children away while lighting the firecrackers
- Wear cotton clothes and stay away from the fire.
- Keep a bucket of sand and a bucket of water and use them immediately soon after any mishap.
- Do not try to light a firework again if it is not lighted in the first try.
- Wear footwear while lighting firecrackers.
- Store firecrackers safely.
- Do not to leave your pet alone and keep them away from firecrackers.
- A first aid kit should be a handy while you or your kids are enjoying the fireworks. In case there is a minor injury, it can be treated immediately at home.
- Tie your hair properly and use cotton clothes while bursting crackers.
- Dispose of the used firecrackers immediately and carefully. You can either put it in a bucket full of water or put sand on them in order to put out its heat.
- In a bid to reduce pollution, burst firecrackers between 8 PM and 10 PM.
