PM Narendra Modi opened up on his activeness on social media. In an interaction with Akshay Kumar, PM Modi said that Twinkle Khanna often vents out her anger at him on Twitter.
It’s not every day that a Bollywood actor gets a chance to interview the Prime Minister of India. But Akshay Kumar is one of those rare actors who could pull this off. In a “candid and completely non-political” conversation with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Khiladi Kumar asked PM if he actively follows people on Twitter and the conversations taking place on social-blogging site.
To which, PM Modi replied, “Main aapka bhi Twitter dekhta hoon aur Twinkle Khanna ji ka Twitter dekhta hoon. Kabhi Kabhi toh mujhe lagta hai ki vo mere upar gussa nikaalti hai Twitter pe, toh uske kaaran aapke parivaarik jeevan mein badi shaanti rehti hogi. Unka pura gussa mujpe nikal jaata hoga isliye aapko araam rehta hoga. Toh is prakaar se main aapke kaam aaya hoon (laughs).”
He added that he met Twinkle Khanna’s paternal granddad Chunnibhai Kapadia many years ago.
“Gujarat mein ek bohot bada akaal (drought) padha tha, toh hum log kuch na kuch samaajik kaam karte the. Usmein hum butter milk ke kendra chalaate the,” added PM Modi.
He revealed that during one of the programs in Mumbai, a renowned sweetshop owner made Chunnibhai meet Modi. “Unhone donation diya tha aur humne chaach kendra shuru kiye the bohot badi matra mein. Toh us samay mein unki nanaji se mulaqat hui thi. Kaafi baatein huin thi unke saath.”
It is no secret that Twinkle Khanna is quite active on social media, and the former actress is known to speak her mind. Back in 2017, Twinkle Khanna had lashed out at Modi government for imposing hefty taxes on sanitary pads.
Now a columnist and an author, Twinkle is popular as MrsFunnyBones on social media.
Akshay, on the other hand, is busy wrapping up the shooting of Good News with Kareeena Kapoor Khan.
