Kalyani Steel Limited has solidified its commitment to Odisha’s growth by signing a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the state government, pledging a significant investment of Rs 11,750 crore for a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility. This landmark project, situated in Gajamara, Dhenkanal district, aligns seamlessly with Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik’s vision for fostering modern industries and high-skill job creation.

The manufacturing hub will specialize in producing titanium metal, aerospace and automotive components, and advanced specialty steel. This initiative is anticipated to generate approximately 10,000 job opportunities, contributing significantly to Odisha’s economic development.

Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik applauded the collaboration, emphasizing that the Kalyani Steel project represents a giant leap into highly advanced and precision manufacturing for the state. He remarked, “Odisha’s grand entry into this sector, including a titanium metal and alloy mill, an aerospace components facility, and an integrated automotive component unit, showcases our commitment to creating a conducive ecosystem for modern industries.”

Patnaik further highlighted the project’s potential to drive the growth of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) while fostering an ecosystem of ancillary industries and OEM suppliers. This, he believes, will amplify job opportunities and contribute to the state’s economic vibrancy.

Amit Kalyani, Director of Kalyani Steels Ltd, expressed optimism about the venture, considering it a significant milestone in the company’s enduring association with Odisha. He added, “Initiating operations in Odisha’s dynamic environment, we aim to establish a mutually beneficial connection that promotes both development and innovation, creating abundant opportunities for high-skill employment.”
