Bhubaneswar, Oct9ber 18: Indian Institute of Technology-Bhubaneswar (IIT Bhubaneswar) and National Institute of Technology Rourkela (NIT Rourkela) from Odisha have found place among the top 50 in the first QS India University rankings of 2019.
As per QS World University Rankings IIT-Mumbai tops the list. While, IIT-Bhubaneswar ranked 21, NIT Rourkela is at 27thposition.
KIIT University, another higher academic institution from the State, has been ranked 75th.
QS World University Rankings is an annual publication of university rankings by Quacquarelli Symonds (QS).
Institutions have been scored on the criteria of academic reputation, employer reputation, faculty-student ratio, proportion of staff with PhD, proportion of international students and proportion of international faculty, reportedly.
