Jakarta: Ace Indian sprinter Dutee Chand created history at the 18th Asian Games here on Wednesday. She won the silver medal in the Women’s 200-metres Final.
She won the medal with a timing of 23.20 second and narrowly missed the gold medal.
Dutee had entered the Final after she finished first after clocking 23 seconds in the semis yesterday.
Earlier she had won the silver medal by clocking 11.32 seconds in the event on Sunday. With this achievement, Dutee became the first Indian woman in 20 years to win a 100m Asian Games medal.
