Bhubaneswar,15 Feb. 2019: In order to ensure transparency in the annual Plus Two examination, the Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) has directed the supervisors of all evaluation centres to install CCTVs at the evaluation centres.

Amarendra Kumar Patnaik, the CHSE chairman on Thursday directed the centre supervisors to install the CCTVs.

Speaking to media, Patnaik said that both online and offline evaluation centres will come under the surveillance of CCTVs.

This will ensure transparency and strict enforcement of regulation during checking of answer sheets of the examination, he added.

Similarly, the strong rooms, where question papers and answer sheets are kept, will be under the CCTV surveillance, Patnaik further informed.

Earlier, the council had warned the junior colleges’ authorities that the examination centres will be cancelled if CCTVs are not installed in the examination halls on time. The controller of examinations Bijay Kumar Sahoo had asked all the college authorities to submit CCTV installation status report by February 20.
