With an allegation lodged by U K Rout(Mgr. Vigilance) of HAL Koraput division, CBI booked seven officials of HAL Sunabeda over fraud and corruption charges. It was alleged that about ₹ 5,01,74,906/-(approx) was paid to the local contractors from January to August 2018 on the basis of forgery and misappropriation of company funds.
A case U/s 120 B r/w 409, 420, 467, 468 & 471 of IPC and Section 13(1)(a) of prevention of corruption Act, 1988(as amended in 2018) was registered agaonst Senior Manager Bhaben Mitra, Asst. Manager Abhinash Kumar Sarkar, Subhashree Das(contract labour of HAL)& wife of Abhinash Kumar Sarkar, all of HAL Sunabeda, unknown officials of HAL and local contractors/vendors Jayaram Garada, Bipra Charan Maharana, Urdhab Khosla and Sadananda Nayak of Sunabeda.
Prob and search were conducted at the offices & residences of the accused persons and ascertained incriminating documents and articles. Further investigation is under process to ascertained involvement of more accused persons in the case.
