The development of the Alarnath Temple, which is located in Brahmagiri approximately 20 kilometres from Puri, requires a master plan, which Secretary to the Chief Minister (5T) VK Pandian today requested be prepared by the authorities within 15 days.
The 5T Secretary visited the well-known shrine at the Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik’s request to assess the facilities already in place for pilgrims there.
Mr.Pandian discussed matters pertaining to the temple with the sevayats and locals.
A master plan for the development of the site with suitable facilities for pilgrims, visitors, and sevayats was requested by him after the lengthy discussion.
The chief minister will be shown the master plan for approval.
During the 5T Secretary’s visit, Samarth Verma, the Puri Collector, senior Works Department officials, and representatives from the OBCC were all present.
Lord Alarnath is well-known because He is revered as Lord Jagannath’s substitute, particularly during the 15-day Anavasar era of Mahaprabhu following Snana Jatra.
Saints like Ramanujacharya and Sri Chaitanya have made their trip to the location prominent.
