Odisha reported the most instances of cyberpornography and morphing against women in 2021, according to the National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB).

A total of 565 incidents, including 301 cases of cyberpornography and 264 cases of morphing, were recorded by the state.

According to the NCRB data, Assam came in second with 228 cases, followed by Uttar Pradesh with 272 incidences of women becoming the victims of cyberpornography during the year.

online pornography that targets women include principally incidents of cyber-blackmail, cyber-threats, cyber-pornography, posting/publishing of obscene sexual content, cyber-stalking, bullying, defamation, morphing, and creating of false profiles.

Odisha reported 1931 cybercrime cases in 2020, according to NCRB data. The state saw a little uptick in 2021, with 2037 instances, or 5.49 percent more than the previous year.

However, there were 31% more cases in 2020 than in 2019. 1485 cases of cybercrime in total were reported during the year.
