Cuttack,October 25: Senior IPS officer YB Khurania has been appointed Inspector General of Border Security Force (BSF) on deputation basis for a period of five years.
Khurania, a 1990 batch IPS officer of Odisha cadre and presently posted as additional director general of police (provisioning), went on central deputation prior to his appointment as IG of BSF. He is relieved of his duties in order to take up his new assignment at the Centre, a statement said.
IPS officer Vinaytosh Mishra, posted as additional DGP (Modernisation) is allowed to remain in additional charge of additional DG P (Provisioning), Odisha, Cuttack till posting of a regular incumbent.
Asheet Kumar Panigrahi, IPS, IG of Police (headquarters), Odisha is allowed to remain in additional charge of Addl. D.G. of Police, Communications, Odisha till posting of a regular incumbent.
