Koraput 22 Feb,2019: A woman allegedly hacked her father-in-law to death over a family feud at Jagannathpur village under Ambaguda police limits in Jeypore of Koraput district last night.The matter came to light after the neighbours spotted Chakra Jani (50), father-in-law of the accused Hiramani, lying dead in a pool of blood.

On being informed, police reached the spot and launched a probe into the matter.According to sources, Hiramani had an argument with her father-in-law over some petty issue last night. However, the situation took an ugly turn after Hiramani attacked her father-in-law with a weapon killing him on the spot. Hiramani fled the spot soon after the incident.

Police have registered a case against the accused woman under relevant Sections of the IPC while a manhunt is underway to nab her.
