Bhubaneswar: Sunanda Panda, a non-resident Odia woman who was residing in New Jersey, USA, died reportedly due to COVID-19. She was 50.
As per reports, she was asymptomatic and complained of uneasiness in breathing on April 6 morning. Panda was admitted to a hospital, where she was diagnosed with COVID-19. The woman was then put on a ventilator. However, she breathed her last within hours. She is survived by her husband and a daughter.
This is a shocking news for me and all my family members as Sunanda was very close to us and was living in the Government quarters of her father Mad an Mohan Panda, who was very trusted Government servant very close to Janaki Ballav Patnaik while he was the Chief Minister of Od isha. This news was broken to me by Mini ( Bijot Projna Tripathy ) today morning as Sunanda was a close friend of her sister Kuni.
