Bhubaneswar. 03, Feb. 2019: We should await the results of the 2019 elections. They will decide which party will be thrown away and which party will stay, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik said on Sunday.
Speaking to the mediapersons after the BJD legislative party meeting at assembly premises today, the Chief Minister said, “Our party is to prepare and discuss openly and democratically. We also being forward to our achievements during this term and the failure of the central government in many phases like Mahanadi, Polavaram and cutting of funds.”
Responding to a question about BJP national president Amit Shah’s address in Puri where he attacked the state government and told that they would throw away the BJD government and called for a need of change, Patnaik said, “Well, we should await the results of 2019 elections. They will decide which government will be thrown away and which government will stay.
Reacting to Shah’s terming the BJD a fuse transformer, Patnaik said, “We will wait and see which party is the fuse transformer and which party is the transformer opposition.”
Asked about Congress president Rahul Gandhi’s recent address in Odisha, he said “They are free to say what they like. We are an A team on our own and maintain equidistance from BJP and Congress.”
Speaking about BJP’s mission 120, the BJD supremo said, “It’s sound absolutely absurd. I think the people will bless us as usual with a large number of seats.”
