Bhubaneswar,December 09: Governor Prof. Ganeshi Lal ordered a Vigilance probe against Odisha University of Agriculture and Technology (OUAT) Vice-chancellor Surendranath Pasupalak.

The directive has been issued by the Raj Bhawan to the State Chief Secretary asking to submit a report within six weeks after the probe by the Vigilance department into the allegations leveled against the head of the State’s premier agriculture institution.

The order came on two petitions filed by the OUAT’s former Assistant Registrar Pramod Kumar Jena against Pasupalak.

In the petitions, Jena alleged Pashupalak of misusing his position, manipulating the records for his personal benefits and erroneous advertisement in recruitment for Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK)s of OUAT.

The petitions were addressed to the Minister for Agriculture and Panchayati Raj and Pro-Chancellor, who forwarded it to the Governor, the Chancellor of the university.
