Samir Ranjan Dash (School and Mass Education) and Srikant Sahu (Labour), two state ministers, and Odisha assembly speaker Bikram Keshari Arukha all announced their resignations on Friday.
This event follows rumours that chief minister Naveen Patnaik may be considering rearranging his cabinet.
Arukha submitted his resignation letter and stated that he was leaving for personal reasons.
After being named Speaker in June of last year, Arukha declared, “I have always fulfilled every duty entrusted to me by the party and will do so going forward. I’ll take care of any duties given to me by the party or the government. I’ve resigned, and I’ve sent the Deputy Speaker my letter.
Both Dash and Sahu declared after quitting that they would take up whatever duties the party assigned them.
On Sunday, Chief Minister Patnaik will travel back to his state from the national Capital.
The cabinet under Patnaik underwent a significant change in June of last year after all 20 ministers announced their resignations.
Dibya Shankar Mishra, Arun Sahoo, and Pratap Jena were removed as cabinet members after the most recent reorganisation.
