Tuhin Kanta Pandey Appointed Principal Resident Commissioner

Bhubaneswar, December 01: The State government today effected a minor reshuffle in bureaucracy by appointing senior IAS Tuhin Kanta Pandey as the Principal Resident Commissioner of Government of Odisha.

As per a notification issued by the State government, 1987 batch IAS officer Pandey, who currently holds the post of Additional Chief Secretary, Finance department will be posted as Principal Resident Commissioner of Odisha government in New Delhi.

Principal Secretary of the General Administration and Public Grievance (GA&PG) department and 1993 batch officer, Ashok K. K. Meena will replace Pandey as Principal Secretary of the Finance department.
Girish S.N, who currently holds the post of Managing Director of the Odisha State Cooperative Bank Ltd. has been appointed Special Secretary of the GA and PG department.

Additional secretary, Planning and Convergence department, Debendra Kumar Jena was given additional charge as managing director of Odisha State Cooperative Bank Ltd.

On Friday, 1986 batch IAS officer Asit Tripathy was given additional charge as the Development Commissioner.

Tripathy, who succeeds 1984 batch IAS officer R Balakrishnan following the latter’s superannuation, will also remain in charge as Additional Chief Secretary (ACS), Home department.

Moreover, Chief Secretary Aditya Prasad Padhi was given additional charge as Chairman of Odisha State Pollution Control Board. Similarly, commissioner-cum-secretary of Cooperation department, Ranjana Chopra was given additional charge as Chairperson of Odisha State Warehousing Corporation (OSWC).
