Washington,Jan.05 : US President Donald Trump has “threatened” to continue with shutdown for years if the Congress refused funding Mexico border wall.
Trump said he would call a national emergency to build a border wall which is essential for stopping illegal immigrants from entering the country.
Democratic leaders told media that the President resisted and told them he would keep the government closed for a very long period, months or even years if the Congress does not concede to his demands.
Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer interacted with the media after his meeting with Trump at the White House on ending the partial government shutdown.
