Bhubaneswar: The well-marked low-pressure area over the West Central Bay of Bengal off the Andhra Pradesh coast has not only thrown normal life out of gear for the residents of Bhubaneswar but also has emerged as a major hindrance for traffic management of the state capital.
Commissionerate police have today issued a traffic advisory for commuters as the traffic lights on solar power are running out of battery and those could not be charged due to inclement weather.
Traffic Lights on solar power are running out of battery as they couldn’t get recharged due to weather conditions. Many will be switched off from 2200 hrs to 0800 hrs.
Drivers are advised to negotiate junctions carefully. @SarangiSudhansu @sagarika_nathPolice officials said that the traffic wing has been asked to deploy adequate manpower at various traffic junctions in the city to manage the traffic manually.
