Bhubaneswar: The Nandankanan Zoological Park (NZP) authority on Saturday welcomed two new guests with tigress Vijaya giving birth to two cubs. Among the two, one cub is a white tiger.
According to sources, tigress Vijaya delivered the two cubs at around 8 am today. The condition of the cubs are stated to be stable, Nandankanan Deputy director Jayanta Kumar Das informed.
The movements of the tigress and the cubs are being monitored strictly. The tourists have been restricted to see Vijaya and her cubs for few weeks. The population of the tigers have reached to 18 after the birth of the two cubs.
