Three of family attacked with acid in Kendrapara

Kendrapara,October 10, 2018 : Three members of a family including a two-year-old girl sustained critical injuries after unidentified miscreants attacked them with acid at Patlipanka village under Mahakalapada block of Kendrapara district on Tuesday night.

The injured were identified as Himanshu Barik, his wife Namita Barik and daughter Subhashree. They were undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Cuttack. According to sources, Himanshu, his wife and daughter were asleep last night when the miscreants threw acid at them through the window of their house. The neighbours rescued them and rushed them to the hospital in Cuttack. However, the reason behind the attack is yet to be ascertained.acid attack
