Bhubaneswar,03, Feb. 2019: A three-layer security arrangements will be put in place at the Odisha Assembly ahead of the budget session beginning on Monday.

Speaking to mediapersons about the security arrangements, Director General of Police RP Sharma said, “About 30 platoons of police force, 100 officers and two units of SOG will be deployed on the Assembly premises during the session.”

“The entire building of the Assembly and its premises will be brought under CCTV camera surveillance,” he added.

Notably, the Odisha government will present the interim budget for the year 2019-20 in the Assembly during the session on February 7.

On the first day of the session on February 4, Governor Ganeshi Lal will address the assembly. Finance Minister Sashi Bhusan Behera will present the interim budget on February 7.

On February 8, the Appropriation Bill on the Vote on Account will be tabled in the Assembly.
