Odisha recorded 10,273 Covid-19 instances on Friday, bringing the total number of active cases in the state to 53,171.
According to the state’s information and public relations department, 1,065 of the 10,273 new cases are between the ages of 0 and 18. On Thursday, the state had reported 10,059 instances.
Similarly, 5,962 people were found in quarantine, with 4,311 of them being local contact cases, according to the department.
Khordha district had the most incidences (3,496), followed by Sundergarh (1049), Cuttack (844), and Sambalpur (844). (529).
Meanwhile, the states of Bhadrak, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, and Sundergarh have recorded four deaths. The state’s death toll now stands at 8476.
Odisha’s daily test positivity rate (TPR) increased to 13.5 percent from 1 2.40 percent the day before. On January 12, the state’s TPR was 11.76 percent, and on January 11, it was 10.25 percent.
