To foster a creative and scientific mindset in school kids, the government of Odisha has planned to construct innovation hubs in 500 schools.
50 innovation hubs will be established by 2023 thanks to a first-phase investment of Rs 200 crore by the state government.
Ashok Panda, the minister of science and technology, made this statement while taking part in the Saturday leadership session of the State S&T Ministers’ conference in Ahmedabad.
Panda emphasised the need to support R&D, innovation, and entrepreneurship to boost the state’s STI ecosystems.
For exchanges between academic and research institutions, the state government and Bhubaneswar City Knowledge Innovation Center have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU).
The Institute of Life Science (ILS), Bhubaneswar, has received Rs 2,00,000,00/- for the construction of a bio-incubation centre. According to Panda, 24 startups are currently operating under the ILS.
