Today, the State Government selected Susanta Nanda, a veteran IFS officer, as the new Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (Nodal).

The 1989-batch IFS officer has been transferred and placed as PCCF with the added responsibility of CE, CDA & PD, ICZMP, according to a notification from the Forest, Environment and Climate Change Department.

In addition, Dr. K Murugesan, an IFS officer from the 1994 batch who serves as the member secretary of the SPCB, has been given permission to continue serving in that capacity in addition to his other responsibilities.

G Rajesh, an IFS officer from the 200a batch, has been given permission to continue serving in addition to his current responsibilities as CEO of OMBADC.
