To hasten the socioeconomic development of the region, Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Tuesday launched six development projects totaling Rs 25 crore in Malkangiri.
Speaking at the event, the CM predicted that these initiatives will hasten the district’s social and economic development.
A high-level bridge connecting the Banda neighbourhood of Malkangari with the Biju Bridge over the Tamsa River at Balimela, a judo academy for the advancement of sports, and a children’s shelter are among the projects that have been inaugurated.
Additionally, two hostels with room for 600 boys and 600 girls each have been given for scheduled tribe and scheduled caste students enrolled in the “Anwesha” programme.
The CM also praised the Malkangiri district’s rapid development initiative.
In the meantime, CM remarked that education gives chances and transformation and also encouraged students to develop an identity by using the example of Karma Muduli, a girl from Banda Ghati who is currently enrolled in the best government women’s institution in Bhubaneswar.
