Bhubaneswar: All India Congress Committee (AICC) President Rahul Gandhi on Saturday appointed Sumitra Jena as the President of Odisha Mahila Congress. Sumitra Jena will replace Sasmita Behera, said a release issued by the AICC.Sumitra Jena is the daughter of eminent freedom fighter & Ex MLA Late Jayakrushna Mohanty & late Kiranlekha Mohanty. Her Mother is the adopted daughter of Indian civil rights activist Malati Chowdhury.
Rahul Gandhi also appointed Krishna Chandra Sagaria as General Secretary of Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee (OPCC); Bibhu Prasad Tarai as Chairman of Scheduled Caste Cell of PCC; Jagannath Patnaik as Member of Executive Committee of OPCC.
