State Export Awards given to 24 exporters; appointment letters to 16 assistant managers

Bhubaneswar,October 11: MSME, W&CD & SSEPD Minister Prafulla Samal gave away state export awards to 24 exporters in the State Export Award ceremony organized by the MSME Department on Thursday.

M/s. Vedanta Ltd, Jharsuguda bagged the best export award in the large industry category, while it was given to M/s. R.B. Agarwalla & Company Pvt. Ltd. in the micro and small category.

Trophies and certificates of merit were given to top six exporting companies namely, M/s. Jay Bharat Spices Pvt. Ltd., Cuttack for exporting spices, Falcon Marine Exports Ltd., Bhubaneswar for exporting frozen shrimps, Indian Rare Earths Ltd., Matikhal, Ganjam for exporting limonite, garnet and Thorium Nitrate, Hindalco Industries Ltd., Sambalpur for exporting aluminium ingot/sow, Infosys Ltd., Bhubaneswar and Suryog Computech (P) Ltd., Bhubaneswar for exporting IT software.

Similarly, Certificate of Excellence was given to 14 exporters exporting companies namely, M/s. Terra Block Machinery Pvt. Ltd., Bhubaneswar for exporting brick making machine, M/s. Jindal Stainless Ltd., Jajpur for stainless steel steel/coil items, M/s Indian Oil Corporation Ltd., Paradip for petroleum products, Odisha State Cooperative Handicrafts Corporation Ltd., Bhubaneswar for handicrafts, M/s. Divya Multigrains Pvt. Ltd., Bhubanewar for spices, M/s. Sreeragam Exports Pvt. Ltd. Bhubaneswar for frozen shrimps, M/s. LSM Trading & Exports Pvt. Ltd., Bhubaneswar for chrome concentrate, M/s. IMFA Ltd., Bhubaneswar, M/s. Ferro Alloys Corporation Ltd., M/s. Balasore Alloys Ltd, Balasore and TATA Steel Ltd., Keonjhar for high carbon ferro chrome, Mindtree Ltd., Bhubaneswar and Learnitude Technologies Pvt. Ltd., Bhubaneswar for IT software exports.

Special certificates were given to the J.P. Handloom Nuapatna, Cuttack for handloom products and B.L. Goyal, Kantabahanji, Bolangir for exporting herbal gum.

On the occasion, the MSME Minister called upon the exporters to continue the tempo of growth in exports and thereby creating employment in the state. He also lauded the efforts of DEPM and other organisations in promoting exports from Odisha.

The MSME Minister distributed appointment letters to 16 newly-recruited Assistant Managers (Project). They have been recruited by OPSC and posted to various DICs to expedite the delivery of services relating to project-related services to entrepreneurs.
