In the previous 24 hours, Odisha has seen a tremendous increase in Covid instances, with 7071 positive cases, including 2226 from Khordha.
The Information and Public Relations (I&PR) Department announced on Monday that 707 cases in the 0-18 age group had been discovered.
There are 4128 quarantine cases and 2943 local contacts among the 7071 positives. There are 27,216 active cases in total. The percentage of positive is 10.24 percent.
With 2226 cases, Khordha leads the way, followed by Sundargarh (1147), Sambalpur (609), Cuttack (505), and Mayurbhanj (201).
A 55-year-old woman from Bolangir district, who was already suffering from hypertension, died of Covid-19 in Odisha, according to the State Health and Family Welfare Department.
