Legendary singer SP Balasubrahmanyam recently met Prime Minister Narendra Modi, but he was bewildered by the partiality shown towards certain stars.
According to SPB, everyone’s phones were collected and they were given tokens for the same. SPB questioned how and why only the Bollywood stars were allowed to take selfies with PM Narendra Modi. The singer’s post is going viral on social media.
SPB’s post read, “I am grateful to Ramoji Raoji, (Eenadu), because of whom I was able to attend a reception hosted by our Hon. Prime Minister at his home on the 29th of Oct. Upon entering the premises, we were asked to leave our cellphones with the security personnel and were given tokens for the same. But I was bewildered at the STARS taking selfies with the PM on that day. THINGS THAT MAKE YOU GO HMMM????? (sic)”
Last week, PM Narendra Modi hosted a ‘Change Within’ meet to promote Gandhism and his ideologies on Mahatma’s 150th birth anniversary. The event saw the who’s who of Bollywood including Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan and several other celebrities from the industry.
The only representative from the South was Telugu producer Dil Raju. SPB has now slammed PM Modi and his team for the difference in treatment of Bollywood stars and him.
After the ‘Change Within’ meet, Ram Charan’s wife and entrepreneur Upasana Kamineni also felt that there was no representation from the South. She voiced the same and requested PM Modi and his team to look into the issue.
