Smriti Irani took to Instagram today to remember her Daadu by posting a picture of him. She wrote in the post that she was grateful to be his naatni.
She posted a snapshot of an old picture of her grandfather with a heartwarming note.
She wrote, “He left me on 19th May 1989. Daadu, taught me all about life, love, duty and sacrifice. There are times I miss him in celebrations, there are times I miss him when the chips are down; and then there are times when I know he never left me.”
She further added, “For everything I find the capacity to do in life is him and his belief in me. Wherever you are Daadu know that I’m grateful for the adventure of being your Naatni.”
In the picture that she posted, the minister’s grandfather can be seen sitting with a leopard in his laps.
Smriti wrote an emotional note dedicated to him referring to him as her strength. She said that all the important things in her life like love, duty and sacrifice were taught to her by her grandfather. The BJP minister also wrote that she misses him every day but his presence in her life is never missing.
