Seshadev Kisan, also known as Sesha, who overcame all obstacles to become a chemical scientist and made Odisha proud, wed Jayasree Jena on Tuesday in accordance with Hindu customs and traditions.
Sesha’s wife is from Baliapatna in the Balasore district, but she was born in the Sambalpur hamlet of Naktideula. The wedding was celebrated in style at a Kalyan Mandap in Redhakhol.
The couple was legally married in a Redhakhol court earlier on November 11 after fulfilling all the requirements. In addition to lawyer Parikshit Das and Redhakhol Tehsildar Debasis Patra, the couple’s family members and relatives were present.
He continued to have big dreams and give up on his studies even after losing both of his parents. He began working as a wage earner during his free time in addition to grazing cattle so he could support his family and pay for his education.
He was chosen for the National Institute of Science Education and Research after graduating from Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya. Later, he conducted research at Georg-August University School of Science under Prof. Sven Schneider.
But what is even more inspiring about his story is that Sesha is now back in Odisha simply because he wants to do something for his motherland, despite having earned all the creature comforts of life, including the opportunity to live in Germany, enjoy a luxurious lifestyle, and find love there.
Since his return from Germany, he has been educating around 170 village children to help them become independent.
