Cyclonic storm Daye triggered heavy rainfall in several places of Koraput district. As per the report by the District Emergency Department, Semiliguda block received most heavy rainfall of 207mm. Similarly, Koraput block recorded 100.4mm, Lamtaput block 128mm, Pottangi block 88mm, Bandhugam block 28.2mm, Nandapur block 72mm, Dasmantpur block 21mm, Narayanpatna 20mm, Laxmipur block 50mm, Jeypore 110.4, Kotpad 144mm, Kundra 129.4mm, Boriguma block 202.8mm & Boipariguda 102. The heavy rain resulted the raise of water level in Kolab Dam this morning. As per the dam Administration today early morning the gate no. 5&6 were opened to release flood water in the said dam.
