Bhubaneswar: Odisha-born internationally acclaimed sand artist Sudarsan Pattnaik has been selected for the Italian Golden Sand Art Award 2019.
He will get the honour at the International Sand Nativity to be held in Italy from November 13 to 18. Padma Shri awardee Pattnaik will represent India in the festival, which will be attended by a total of eight sculptors.
Sudarsan has participated in more than 60 international sand art festivals and championships around the world and won many prizes for the country.
