On Sunday, the Chief Minister of Odisha’s 5T secretary Shri VK Pandian, reviewed the development of the Maa Samaleswari temple under the SAMALEI project.


During his arrival, Shri VK Pandian prayed in the temple and spoke with the devotees, priests, and servants on a variety of topics.

A 30 acre plot of land is being developed for the SAMALEI (Samaleswari Temple Area Management and Local Economic Initiative) project, and another 25 acres have been bought.

Shri VK Pandian examined the building of the heritage pond complex, the podium, the queue management system, the changing room and other components during his visit to the project site. He gave the engineers instructions to expedite the work so that it would be finished on time.

He went to the plaza’s construction site to look at the heritage corridor that was being built, which will have welcoming gates on three of its sides. Also, he checked out the under construction landmark watch tower, vending area, information desk, pilgrim facility, temple facility centre, and other areas. He emphasised the need for sufficient plantations across the region.

The secretary gave instructions to complete the column foundation works quickly and to finalise the design for the foot over bridge during his visit to the Mahanadi river front. He also looked over the crematorium’s building.

During Shri VK Pandian’s visit, key executives including the principal secretary, works, the Sambalpur collector, the managing director of OBCC, and the head of the temple trust board were all present.
