Salman Khan on Blackbuck poaching case: ‘Did you think I was going in forever?’

Salman Khan along with his entire team including Anil Kapoor, Jacqueline Fernandez, Daisy Shah, Saqib Saleem, Bobby Deol, director Remo D’Souza and producer Ramesh Taurani turned up for the trailer launch of much-awaited Race 3 trailer on Tuesday evening.

The superstar who is on bail after being convicted in his 20 year old Blackbuck poaching case also talked about being worried about the Jodhpur court’s verdict.

On May 7th, a court in Jodhpur adjourned hearing till July 17 on Bollywood actor Salman Khan’s plea challenging the trial court order sentencing him to a five-year jail term in the 1998 blackbuck poaching case. Khan was released from the Jodhpur jail, where he spent two nights, on April 7 after then District and Sessions Judge Ravindra Kumar Joshi here granted him bail in the case.While Saif Ali Khan, Sonali Bendre, Tabu and Neelam were acquitted by the court in 1993 Blackbuck poaching case, Salman was convicted Under Section 9/51 of the Wildlife Protection Act.

Ahead of his Eid release, Race 3, several reports were doing the rounds as a lot of money is riding on the superstar who is still shooting for the film. On Tuesday, at the trailer launch of his film, Salman Khan was asked about if he felt pressure at the time of the court proceedings. Before he could answer the question, the event’s anchor intervened to say “no questions on the Jodhpur case and the Karnataka election will be entertained.” But Salman Khan threw a question back at the reporter asking, ” Did you think I was going in forever?”

When the said journalist said “No”, Salman immeditely said: “Thank you, because I was worried.
