Puri cop click selfies inside Srimandir, uploads them on FB

Puri, October 08: Dillip Panda a  sub-inspector posted at Sea Beach Police Station in Puri uploaded a series of pictures clicked inside prohibited areas in  Srimandir premises, while he had gone to perform ‘Mahalaya Shraddha’ in the temple on Monday morning.

The  officer, Dillip Panda of Sea Beach PS allegedly took some photographs and clicked selfies near the ‘Baishi Pahacha’ (22 Steps) after completion of the rituals and later uploaded those on his Facebook account.

In the pictures, the police officer could be seen clicking selfies amongst scores of devotees.

Besides, some pictures also reveal that someone else also took photographs of Panda, while the latter posed for it.

The 12th century shrine today was packed with scores of devotees, who thronged the temple to offer Mahalaya prayer and perform rituals as a mark of homage to their ancestors.
