Bhubaneswar, 03.05 : I am shocked at the sudden demise of my cousin Dr Bijoy Kumar Patnaik, who was Professor and Head of Department of Odia in Khetrabasi Akademi Nirakarpur.Biji as I fondly call him was the eldest son of my God uncle Basudev Patnaik ( Basudada) of our neighboring village Chhanagiri. Biji was a very good scholar who had done his Ph.D. on Fakir Mohan Senapati. He was responsible for opening Post Graduate Department of Odia in Nirakarpur College and after his retirement he was taking classes in the P.G. Department of Odia.
