The birth anniversary of the great journalist and thinker, Pradyumna Bal, was celebrated without any fanfare on the premises of Pragativadi on Friday. The Pragativadi family celebrated the event in a low-key and the state-level function was abandoned due to Fani which devastated several parts of Odisha.
Senior journalist and Sub-Editor of Pragativadi, Santosh Kumar Dash presided over the function and said Pragativadi will keep up its impartiality and enliven the ideals of its founder.
The executive editor of the daily, Birupakshya Tripathy, said it’s a great journey of 47 years and thanked his colleagues for their effort in this direction. He dwelt at length how they could contribute their bit to march ahead with the principles of the founder.
Publisher of Pragativadi Siba Prasad Biswal discussed the contribution of Pallikabi Nanda Kishore Bal and founder of Pragativadi Pradyumna Bal towards the society particularly in the field of literature, culture, journalism and social service. Biswal urged everyone to work for the realization of the ideals of Pradyumna Bal.
