PM Modi Discourages Odisha On Hockey World Cup Anthem Release

Bhubaneswar, Nov.19: The Hockey World Cup Anthem entitled ‘Jai Hind, Jai India’ which was scheduled to be released in the national capital Delhi on Monday could not be held as Prime Minister Narendra Modi had no time for this sporting event.

As the Prime Minister could not spare time for the international hockey tournament to be held on November 28, there a was feeling among the people in Odisha and the government as well that Modi dispensation has overlooked the enthusiasm in this regard.

The Chief Minister of Odisha Naveen Patnaik was scheduled to attend the Hockey anthem release programme in Delhi, but the programme was postponed as the PMO could not spare time for such a programme.

The World Cup Hockey Anthem has been composed by music maestro AR Rehman and penned by noted lyricist Gulzar. Bollywood actor Shahrukh Khan, Actress Nayanthara, and prominent hockey players are in the video for promoting the sporting event in Odisha being hosted for the first time in the state.

Releasing the promo of hockey anthem, Rahman tweeted hockey is a popular game in India. It is loved by one and all in the country.

The hockey ‘mahakumbh’ will be inaugurated on November 27. The mega sporting event will be held from November 28 to December 16.
