The first weekend collection of PIKU

The Film Earned Rs.25.22 Crores in the first three days of its release. According to the trade analyst Tarash Adarsh, sujit sircar’s Slice-of-life drama witnessed phenomenol growth on sunday, pocketing Rs.11.20 Crore.
The film, which opened at Rs.5.32 crore on Friday, has grown via positive word of mouth and the collections went up to Rs.14.02 crore on the second day
The lovable story of father-daughter relationship has been praised by the critics as well. Amitabh Bachchan plays a 70-year-old man who stays with his daughter Piku. Irrfan plays the third wheel who ferries the two from Delhi to Kolkata.
Irrfan Khan feels the positive response to the film is a win both for the audience as also for a filmmaker who knows how to entertain and engage with a difference.
Served with dollops of comedy and emotions, the movie is finding fans among all age groups.
