The state government of Odisha will host a business summit in the state’s capital on October 18, according to official sources, a day after the most recent investors’ meeting in Hyderabad. The business summit will be attended by Indian ambassadors to the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Switzerland, Spain, and Guatemala.
Naveen Patnaik, the chief minister, will also go to the meeting.
The ambassadors will be informed on Odisha’s investment prospects, investor-friendly policies, and government-enacted business-friendly reforms, but they are also required to reach out to the business community in their home nations and extend invitations to potential investors. According to the sources, the state is seeking investments in industries including food processing, petrochemicals, alumina and aluminium, real estate, port-based logistics, industrial storage, fintech, and metal trade exchange because it has business interests in common with these four nations.
The summit is significant in light of the impending third Make in Odisha conference, the state’s premier industry-investor gathering, which is set for November 30 to December 4 in Bhubaneswar.
On August 31, the CM met with envoys and diplomats from more than 30 nations in New Delhi to promote Odisha as a rapidly developing industrial site with abundant natural resources and a prime location.
After that, he went to two more curtain raisers in Bengaluru and Mumbai and spoke with prospective investors one-on-one with the aim of inviting them to the conclave. The following is slated for October 17 in Hyderabad.
