Koraput, 28 Jan. 2019: Odisha’s wonder kid, Sai Anish Pattnaik can now recognise 81 cars in just 3.06 minutes by having a look at the exterior and 62 cars in 2.19 minutes by seeing the interior. His unique talent of recognising all new and old car brands at a glance has brought him lots of accolades.
Five-year-old Sai Anish has three national records and several other recognitions in his account which has made him popular as the wonder kid of Odisha and the brand ambassador for “Shemrock and Shemford” Group of Schools– a pre-school chain in India.
Recently, Sai Anish was felicitated by Minister of Electronics & Information Technology, Sports & Youth Services Chandra Sarathi Behera on district level on the occasion of 70th Republic day celebration. Among others, Koraput District Collector K Sudarshan Chakravarthy and IPS Koraput Sagarika Nath were also present at the event.
Last year in December Sai Anish has received the India Pride Award by singer Bappi Lahiri. The event was hosted by World Book of Records, London, United Kingdom.
Earlier, Sai Anish was rewarded for his astounding memory power. He got three national awards–India’s World Records, World Records India and Incredible Book of Records.
Sai Anish holds many international records including World Genius Records in Nigeria, Assist World Records, Champions Book Of World Records, Innovative World Records, Indian Achievers Book of World Records and Real World Records.
Earlier on October 21, 2016, Sai Anish amazed everyone by recognising 60 car brands in just 1.40 minute and registered a New National Record.
Born to Swaroopa and Saroj Kumar Pattnaik, Sai stays at Sunabeda township in Koraput district. His father Saroj works as an engineer in Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd and his mother is a homemaker.
The proud parents of Sai Anish have always been there to support him with all there means. But they also expressed dismay over the lack of support from the administration, which settled down only by presenting an award and felicitating their bright kid.
Sai Anish’s father Saroj said, “Though my son amazed everyone with the unique talent and registered many national and international records, less support was received from the home state.”
He said, “Anish has the potential to do wonder all the time and his power of recognising cars whether it be from the exterior or the interior. But, there seems no scope ahead. He is confined to the locality the maximum time due to lack of exposure.”
“Further support, opportunity and recognition to Anish from the government level would help him sharpen his knowledge and bring laurels for the state and the country,” Saroj added.
Notably, the wonder kid of Odisha has also been felicitated by Koraput Gorav Samman on Feb 25, 2018, and received ‘Parab Samman’ award from Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) Minister Jogendra Behera.
