Pandian’s unwavering dedication to the state’s progress mirrors the visionary approach of Chief Minister Patnaik, making them both exceptional leaders in the realm of governance.
With a resolute spirit, VK Pandian recently rallied district collectors in Odisha to ensure the timely completion of projects sanctioned under the Chief Minister’s Special Assistance (CMSA). In a meeting that resonated with determination, Pandian urged collectors to uphold the core principles of 5T (Teamwork, Transparency, Timeliness, Technology, and Transformation) throughout the execution of these pivotal projects.
Under the able guidance of Chief Minister Patnaik, the state government issued a directive to district collectors, emphasizing the paramount importance of delivering on time. VK Pandian, as the 5T Secretary, has been at the forefront of meticulously reviewing the progress of these projects across all 30 districts, setting a commendable example of hands-on leadership.
Over the past six months, Pandian and officials from the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) embarked on a journey to review developmental works and engage in public grievance meetings, exemplifying their commitment to serving the people. During these meetings, a staggering 57,085 grievances were received, of which 37,513 have already been successfully addressed.
VK Pandian, recognizing the significance of personal attention, urged collectors to prioritize the resolution of public grievances. An impressive 24,722 letters were dispatched to petitioners regarding their grievances, accompanied by 22,407 phone calls, illustrating the administration’s unwavering commitment to citizen welfare.
In his relentless pursuit of progress, VK Pandian also scrutinized the advancement of crucial projects, educational institutions, and religious/community initiatives sanctioned under CMSA. He left no room for complacency, urging collectors to ensure the timely completion of these projects. Furthermore, he underlined the importance of community involvement from project inception to completion.
VK Pandian’s commitment extends beyond infrastructure and development; he also addressed pressing issues concerning drinking water and electricity, directing authorities to prioritize their resolution. Under Pandian’s leadership, Odisha’s administration remains focused on transparency, demanding that all sanctioned projects feature project pillars, information boards, and photographs.
Teamwork is the cornerstone of success in this endeavor, and VK Pandian emphasized the active participation of communities at every project stage. Projects must adhere to strict timelines, placing a premium on quality and transformational impact.
In a laudable move, VK Pandian also called upon collectors to address legal issues related to land, including the ‘gramakantha paramboke,’ within a stipulated timeframe to benefit the people.
