In accordance with its “Housing for All” policy, the Housing and Urban Development Department today introduced the House Allotment System (HAS).

As part of the programme, Odisha Urban Housing Mission (OUHM) has created “House Allotment System,” an android-based mobile application and a transparent and expertly managed web-based software solution.
The Bhubaneswar Development Authority (BDA) and OUHM collaborated to arrange the House Allotment System (HAS) inaugural event today.
The Minister of Housing and Urban Development has praised the department for reaching a significant milestone in developing a professional managed and transparent system for the allocation of dwellings for Economically Weaker Sections through the web-based software solution.
This allocation system’s main goals are to produce predictability, transparency, and social auditing. The system will operate on the premise that all families that wish to receive housing units under the Housing for All policy must first register continuously. By evaluating the housing scarcity in different cities and making appropriate plans, this application will also assist in addressing the issues associated with housing in the state.
The web-based application’s additional features include integrated payments and legacy data management.
While the integrated payment mechanism guarantees hassle-free online payment by the beneficiaries, the legacy data management ensures cross-verification of beneficiaries who have benefited from housing facilities through past government programmes.
At the inauguration ceremony, BDA Vice Chairman Sanjay Kumar Singh, BMC Commissioner Vijay Amruta Kulange, and others were in attendance.
