In a significant turn of events, the highly respected and dedicated IAS officer, Shri V K Pandian, serving as the 5T Secretary in Odisha, has decided to take voluntary retirement from his service. Shri Pandian, a member of the 2000 batch of the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), received approval from the Central government for his voluntary retirement, which was granted by the Union Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances & Pensions. The decision is in line with Rule 16 (2A) of the All India Services Rules, 1958 and is marked by the waiver of the notice period, as recommended by the State Government.
