Cuttack: The surgeons of Acharya Harihar Regional Cancer Center (AHRCC) here successfully operated a woman today and removed an 18/15 inches cancerous tumour weighing 20 kg from her uterus. It was a rare surgery where a huge tumour weighing 20 kg was removed.
As per reports, the woman was suffering from this disease for the last 10 years. However, after today’s operation, her health condition is stable.
Importantly, the patient is a poor woman and the surgery was executed free of cost under the ‘Mo Sarkar Yojana’ of Odisha Government. The flagship drive was launched recently on October 2, 2019.
The surgery was performed by surgeon Dr. Manoranjan Mahapatra, Dr. Jita Parija and Dr. Kavin with the help of Anesthesia Dr. Janaki, Dr. Rajat Das, and Dr. Sumita Mahanty.
