Bhubaneswar,DECEMBER 06: Ahead of 2019 Assembly polls, former Union Minister Srikant Jena was dropped from the poll manifesto committee of Odisha Congress as the chairman of the panel today.

Jena was replaced by former Minister and Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee (OPPCC) Vice-president Ganeswar Behera. Besides, Bismaya Mahapatra has been appointed as the Convenor of the panel.

Besides, Leader of Opposition (LoP) Narasingha Mishra, party senior leader Prasad Harichandan and six others have been appointed as members of the committee, said a press release issued by All India Congress Committee (AICC) General Secretary Ashok Gehlot.

OPCC president Niranjan Patnaik took to Twitter to congratulate the new members of the committee.

“Congratulations to all the newly appointed members of the Manifesto Committee for Odisha Vidhan Sabha Elections, 2019. Let’s work together to give the people the best manifesto which will capture the vision of the Congress party for a new glorious Odisha,” Patnaik tweeted.
